- Be a lamp unto thy self… -
When we see or hear or experience something that lights up our soul, we enjoy the experience of taking it in. And we want to be able to recreate that experience ourselves. But we cannot, and in fact, sending out “light” for other souls, is almost an opposite movement. We cannot recreate that feeling in our own souls, not without separating from ourselves by attributing the creative act to god/spirit/whatever.
In order to be creative, to share our soul with others, we have to lose possession of it. It has to be able to look at itself. Otherwise it is not true.
Strange.
