- Memes -

Genes to memes, a jump of consciousness?  Physical to mental?  A higher vibration of consciousness?  Can we step beyond this to see the results of memes (as the physical parts of us are the result of genes)? Can we view thoughtforms?

Memes are the forms-that-arise of Buddhism.  Everything arises together, big waves, small waves.  Divination is the processing of the information contained in the big waves (tarot, i-ching).  I saw a vision of this arising and fading, once…*.

This is what McKenna describes when discussing communal ayahuasca trips, or his recalled DMT experience…

Will this require technology, or is technology a mirror for us to see ourselves in?  A way to externalize the information we keep in our heads, in order to leave room for something else?  I have described the internet as training wheels for the self, this is what I mean.  We cannot hold information based on old perceptions, while evolving a new form of perception.  The internet is our way of externalizing this information, so that we can make room for new perceptions.  Obviously I do not believe technology is anything other than a crutch to help us in our last struggle before we enter this gateless gate.  See Roger Zelazny’s Amber series, in the walking of the pattern and the logrus…

We are both a source and a consumer of these thought-way-forms, or more accurately, a transformer.  I am attempting thought-architecture here.  I hope you like it.

Eckart Tolle describes being in the now as not identifying with our thought formations.  They are not our identity, we are the space in which these ideas arise.  By identifying with the space, we can begin to externalize our thoughts/emotions from our consciousness.  Will this re-create the world?  Will we migrate en-masse to a deeper plane of existence, a more pure form of consciousness?  (is this where Jung’s personality #2, his “true” personality, was?  Is this the Buddha self?  Once the thought-form of the ego is seen as a creation of the true self, where are we?)

If drug trips are a way of tapping into this, why are they always subjective?  Well, a few reasons:
1) The physical is the objective space, the mental is the subjective space. It is a larger infinity, and is distorted/created by each person individually.  A quantum reality that is created by the interaction of the viewer.

2) We do not yet have a common language for these experiences.  There is not any way to know that what you are describing relates to what I am experiencing.

Right now our language is based on physical forms, but physicals forms are all really part of the same interlocking reality, we just separate them linguistically.  We need to begin doing the same for our thoughts.  We need a language based on thought forms, which would be based on the movement of thought forms.

This is why I am becoming interested in asemic writing, and can also be tied into both alchemy and graffiti (the breaking down of the old language to allow for the development of the new language).

* A caveat: It only had once, and that was pretty much all there was to the vision…. ask me about it sometime if you ever want to know more.

- Morals -

Morals are not opposed to desire, morals are simply a more complicated type of desire (or two desires combined together, in order to create a more effective effect).

A desire, in one sense, is a need to discharge some energy (libido, whatever) in order to achieve a certain effect.  In it’s most basic form, the desire is simply to discharge that energy.

Morals are (or at least are best utilized if they are) a desire to discharge that energy in an appropriate manner.  That this, to discharge it into an existing system.  Morals in this sense are a more complicate form a desire, an inclusion of that discharged energy into a system of other discharged energies.

Morals should not be seen as contrary to desire, and should not be a stiffling of desire.  Instead, they should be seen as a way to desire better.  More effectively.  And most importantly, more communally.

Most of this is not really anything new, but what is important to me is the idea that morals are not contrary to desire, not a set of hopes you have to jump through to get what you want, but can instead be seen as an extension of that original desire.

Perhaps morals are only against desire when you yourself are against society….  Just a thought.

- Sub Conscious -

What if the subconscious is a new development in humanity?

The mind is something in constant flux.

The subconscious only came into our awareness around 1900.

We are only becoming aware of what is beyond our normal consciousness because something is stirring there.  The horizontal/auditory is coming back into play, the tacit knowing.  As it rises from the deep, the pillars of our vertical/visual temple begin to shake.

Cthulhu pthagn!
