- Awareness -

Awareness is infinity.  It is the one thing that does not move with the stream of time flowing by (diamond mind).  In it and all things exist, and all dualities are nullified.

Awareness is an-entropic.

Science, the objective, looks only at the time stream, with awareness removed.  Science has difficulty understanding the existence of awareness and consciousness.  To science, there is no measurable difference between a dead body and a living one.

Science is entropic.  Science’s world view is entropic, all things tend toward death or disorder.  And thus we are negativity seeking, as that is all we can recognize through the lens of science.

Yet it is the purpose of human life to embody awareness, to embody infinity.  For we are both the embodiment of it and the source of it within time.

We place infinity, awareness, god, the good, the true, and the beautiful, into the life stream.  We do it so that the lifestream is renewed, and can continue.

We are not behaving properly.  We have lost touch with this inner sun.  This was perhaps lost in the growth of civilization, when objective entropic death was introduced as a substitute for the eternal an-entropic truth within.

It is meant to embody it, meant to point to it.  But instead, we have mistaken this pointing mirror for the image reflected in it.  We are left embracing a cold, dead, piece of glass.  An illusion.

Form, be it as ego or as language or as any other form, is the simple everyday reification of the all-and-everything, and is only a reflection of that same eternal all-and-everything.

This is what is within us.  This is what we must balance within us, so that form and eternity can co-exist.  Either alone if no good.

Do not listen to my words.  Sit and do it yourself.  Bring your awareness into the time stream as much as you can, push farther and farther.  You create a field of lifeforce by doing so, in whatever way you can.  There is no way that can be spoken of, it can only be lived…

I had a realization today of the alchemical process.  It is the same as what I have been describing here, when related to in a bodily way.  Tension in our bodies is like dead matter, the lifeforce does not flow easily within it.  It is the dark element, sulphur I believe.  And into this we must mix our breath, the ever changing, never still, always flowing air.  This is the light element, quicksilver or mercury, I believe.  When the two are separate, the body is not functioning.  Where the barriers come down, and the breath is allowed back into the tense areas, the lifeforce flows again.  This is the philosophers stone, the elixir of life.  The breath activates the lifeforce hidden within the tense areas, but the breath is not the lifeforce itself.

Once the lifeforce is recovered, the return of tension becomes unbearable, and easily solved.  We remember the feeling of the lifeforce and can bring it back within us.  The more we embody that, the easier it becomes to embody it more and more thoroughly.  And the more you embody, the more you see that everything else embodies it as well.  And just by doing that, and creating that lifeforce within the timestream for others to see, use, experience, feel, you are doing the work of god and you are keeping the world alive.

Just watch out for the toxins held within the tense areas, as they can poison you if they are not mixed well with the awareness of the breath.   And it can be hard to face these toxins with awareness, but we must do it.  Otherwise the task in left uncompleted, and the tension/sulfur remains.

On a macrocosmic level, perhaps it is a question of a two brane reality?  One high dimensional whole broken into two, and these two try to reunite to reform the whole?  Hence the stories of a fall, or a polar existence.  One if higher, one if lower (6 dimensional and 4 dimensional?) and together they are a 10 dimensional thing?  As below, so above?  In us, in bringing awareness and consciousness into the world of forms, we recreate the original eternal infinite.

The question is though, is the whole meant to be brought back together?  Or is this realm of polarity through which we pass something that must exist, a stage that we go through in order to reach a higher level ourselves?  That is, do we heal the spilt between the two, or do we just pass though it and onwards to higher realms?  I guess the answer to this is to try it and find out.  When the lifeforce is created, and you embody it more and more, do you pass on to other realms, or do you remain here?  Personally, I don’t think the split is something that is meant to be healed.  It is split because this gives light a chance to become embodied by form.

The gnostic idea of releasing the divine sparks with is ridiculous, in this worldview, as the divine is nothing without form.  It is like emptying a teaspoon into the ocean, and expecting that teaspoon of water to be able to differentiate itself from the sea of water around it.  It does not work, it is simply lost.

Whereas if this light consciousness takes on this body in order to better incarnate itself, in order to draw into itself the aspect of “form”, then everything is running properly, and we only have to get back to the joyful existence of becoming more and more an embodied consciousness, by allowing the awareness within us to quicken the forms and time stream around us.

- The Golden Key -

One of my favorite stories as a child was “The Golden Key”, by George MacDonald. I’ve decided to put it up here to share with everyone. Enjoy!

The Golden Key
By George MacDonald

There was a boy who used to sit in the twilight and listen to his great-aunt’s stories. She told him that if he could reach the place where the end of the rainbow stands he would find there a golden key.

“And what is the key for?” the boy would ask. “What is it the key of? What will it open?”

“That nobody knows,” his aunt would reply. “He has to find that out.”

“I suppose, being gold,” the boy once said, thoughtfully, “that I could get a good deal of money for it if I sold it.”

“Better never find it than sell it,” returned his aunt.

And the boy went to bed and dreamed about the golden key.

- Lizard People? -

Its not lizard people.

Its not the moon.

Its us.

We ruin things, when things are getting good.  We pull apart the civilizations and the things we make.

It’s out fault when things collapse.  We do not take care of them.  We do not adjust as the world changes, because we see ourselves as separate from it.  We are both above and in it, and it is through taking care of it and ourselves that we grow spiritually.  Entropy becomes the projected shadow.  This is what we are here to struggle against.

If we struggle, we die and perhaps are reborn.

How do we struggle, becomes the question.  Learn how you are to struggle and your life has meaning.

How do you strive for the good, when everyone’s projections (both shadow and light) get placed upon you.  The organ Kundabuffer, Gurdjieff called it.  We just cannot face it.  We rise and fall like a pile of moving rocks.  It is difficult to get the balance right, so that it lasts.  It is an imperfect emergent behavior.  It is our job to judge each piece we add to the the pile, and gauge its suitability.

Through this struggle, perhaps we gain our self.  By losing our “self”, by struggling with the inner resistance, we gain a “self”.

Or not.  Perhaps we just die.  Either way, life has more meaning.

- The stars, the bird, and the snake -

It’s not that God (the cosmos) doesn’t care, its that we can’t reach it yet.

Michaelangelo’s Sistine chapel.

We must grow to reach beyond the earth, in order to bring the heaves and the earth together.  We are the conduit.  Not chanelling from the Pleidies or anything, just the rhythms and energies of the cosmos.

They can’t come down until we’re ready.  Open your stargate’s is just becoming enough of an “I” to be a reliable conduit.

We can all conduct differently, and we can all become an “I” differently.  But the process which is completed by our doing so is the same.  The revivification and refertilization of life here on earth.  Just more life!

We can be on earth, and not feel these things, just crawling along like the snake.

We can inhabit the cosmic perspective and look down on earth, without touching it.  This is like the bird.

Only when the bird and the snake become one act to consciously bring the heavens to the earth.  Because it is inside us and all around us, but we do not see it.

Now, I need to stop talking about this and continue to do it…

- Poetry? -

“Diamond Mind”
It is the mind that is clear, transparent.
Imagine a diamond in a stream of water. You could not see the diamond at all.
Like the diamond in the stream, you should be just as clear in the stream of life.
Or instead, imagine a shaft of light.
If there is nothing in it, the light is invisible.
You can only see the light when there is something there to reflect it.
Now into this shaft of light, place a diamond.
The diamond gives brilliance to the light, making it bright, colorful, shining.
Such must your mind be within the beam of life that is the now.

“Untitled 1″
There are charcoal briquettes in my grill.
By the time the food for the party is prepared,
they will have become diamonds.

“Untitled 2″
When that which is within you and which moves you,
loves
that which is around you?
Bliss.

“Rocks”
Searching for enlightenment is like being a man holding onto rocks on the sea floor.
Each rock he comes to, he lifts.
Some rocks contain bubbles beneath them.
Yet no rock, no matter how big the bubbles underneath, is going to allow him to breathe freely.
Let go of the rocks, learn to swim.
The air that is within you will lead you to the surface.
One day, your head will break the waves and you will breathe.

“Yggsdrasil”
I am the Tree.
My sap begins in my roots, below the ground.
It slithers up my legs and rests in my stomach, or twines further up amongst my branches.
My thoughts are as leaves, spread out to catch the light from above, singing songs of joy.
If I am lucky, these thoughts will bear fruit,
fruit that is sweetened by my sap and the soft summer sun…

- Hello… -

My apologies for the lack of new posts.

I am working on a new story, as it’s been too long since I’ve put up some writing here. I’ve also got a few new art pieces to post and hopefully a good group of pictures from a day spent wandering around southern Manhattan. These would all be up now, if it wasn’t for that pesky “real life” and that “job” that keep getting in the way…

Anyway, to breathe a little life back into this space, I am posting some scribblings from my notebook. For the sake of using a recognizable label for the googlebots, I will call them poetry. If you don’t like that, well, I’m sorry (for you). More will be coming soon, and you can always check my research log, which I update more regularly but less specifically.

There’s actually a lot of Kafka up there now, which is strange as I am not a big fan of his novels. But that would explain my recent dream of being caught in the courts system for doing something that I hadn’t known was a crime. I was given a summons which I couldn’t understand, and was later told by someone who was either Aleister Crowley dressed as a bureaucrat, or my 8th grade history teach (a nice guy, who bears no resemblance to Crowley) that “they” were going to be making an example of me. However, my feelings about being “made an example” were more towards boredom than fear, so I’m not too worried about it…

- On “fighting” the darkness -

Evil attacks good, fights it down to the last spark.  But evil will not touch good.

Good sits burning until evil recedes.

Evil is there to serve good.  It is a tempering, a purification process.

It pushes you closer to goodness, it takes away that which holds you back from the good.

Render unto Ceaser, and render unto the Lord…

And it only wins if you give up goodness in an attempt to appease evil.

But you must give up goodness, goodness never gives you up to evil.

But can you even give up goodness?  I doubt it.

- Late June -

More recent random photos, from a walk around the Chelsea Art Galleries,
and then a walk along the Brooklyn Promanade on a different day.

Wish I had written down the names of the artists and the galleries I took these at…
I think that cat image is by ElboeToe, and the second-to-last one might be a Swoon piece.
Funny that it’s the street art that I remember, more than the gallery pieces.

- Tychs -

Everyone likes a good panorama. So do I, except that I call them tychs
As in “dyp-” or “trip-”.

Yeah, I know that’s technically not correct, but fuck it. I like the word.

Here’s a few I’ve put together over the years, from HK,
the Chelsea Art District, Roosevelt Island, and my bedroom window.

- Brooklyn Sakura Festival 2008 -

As promised long ago (on the old site), here is the second group of the older images I have sitting around on my hard drives…

These are all from the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.

- Fears -

it is your job to investigate your fears to find out whether or not they are worthy of being feared.  Otherwise, the fears will become a part of you, and you will pass them on to others.

In a way, you will become the thing you fear, because if this thing is not truly worth fearing, than the source of the fear is you.  But how will you know from where the fear comes if you don’t investigate?
