- Alchemically speaking… -

The Great Work is the purpose of life.  It is the direction of God.  It is the reason spirit and matter were created, and the reason for which spirit incarnates into matter.  It is the role that humans play as part of the divinity.  Enlightenment is how god comes down here to play with himself.  We give our lives meaning in the direction of God, and the more we follow that meaning, the more life is lived in us.  It is the purpose which contains all other purposes.

The Garden of Eden is what is going on inside of us at all times.  We are always eating the fruit.  We are always knowing good and evil.  But it is the Tree of Imortal Life that bring us back.  Get beyond the angel with the flaming sword and paradise is ours again.  Only its not Paradise, it’s ‘immortal life’…

The bonds are loosed.

I am free now, as I ever was.  Collars off, gentleman…

Question.  Is the direction of God a 4th dimensional direction, or higher than that?  This is what the Singularity stands for  (in it’s original term, not Kurweizels interpretation of it).  McKenna’s strange attractor.  The thing toward which time is pulled.

Tim Boucher had a podcast, where he thinks that eternity is what is, while time is only an invention of the mind.

This seems the opposite.  Time is the invention of the mind, and therefore not real, and therefore part of the illusion of good and evil before the angel’s flaming sword and before the Tree of Immortal (Boundless?) Life.   Or Time is the direction of movement toward God, and therefore of God and not illusary.

Really, this is just the finger pointing to the moon again.  Phillip K Dick has a part in his Exgesis where he says that he was looking for God in the Black Iron Prison, and only kept finding eternities.  Then God came to him and said, see, even in the midst of the demi-urge’s creation, I have created signs to my true being.  Or something like that.  I own it, and remember reading the section, but don’t have it here.

This is nirvana in samasara.

An idea that springs from this is that awareness is timeless, peeking into time.  That is what we are.  When we get lost in time, the flow of time points us back to ourselves.  But we project that true self as an other, because we are caught up with our time-self.

Eternity is both emptiness and all-things.  Time is the division.  Life is movement between.

We are contradictory beings.  In fact, all be-ings are contradictory.

Joy.

- Fighting the “other” -

You use a computer, so your system is built outside of your head.  Your life is meaningless.

I use my head to build my system.  The computer is a tool for my head to use.  My life is meaning-full.

- God. Is dead. -

“The growth of knowledge about society, which includes the understanding of history as the heart of culture, derives from itself an irreversible knowledge, which is expressed by the destruction of God.”  (Guy Debord)

This is the eye of the needle.  This is the reason for the monotheistic god.  By making the “other”, formerly represented by nature, into a figure of authority represented by “god”, we make it something we can gradually overthrow by way of cultural-memory-as-history.  History is the slow murder of the other as something greater than ourselves.

The question is, what next?  Can we join in with the other, seeing ourselves as equals in a way that we never were before, or do we instead attempt to subjugate it further, making our selves powerless by being too power-hungry?  Because those who crave power are defining themselves by their lack of it, and as you define yourself, thus you are.

From the Dreamtime of the ancestors, to the wild call of nature, to the stern hand of The Father…  What god awaits humanity now?
