- Video Games -

I just put the number for my zen temple into my cellphone and did a bit of a double take.  Something about entering “Fire Lotus Temple” into a piece of everyday electronics was just awesome.

My life has become a video game.

  2. This refers back to ‘The Gun’, yes? At least, some of the thoughts it stimulated in my head at the time.

    Something quite deep here.

  3. @c8lin: Glad someone finally noticed! ;)

@speedbird: I actually hadn’t thought of it that way. It was just something that I thought was pretty cool, and that I wanted to share here. I’m curious though. In what ways do you relate it to the gun story? I’d be glad to hear someone else’s perspective on it.

  4. Well, the first thing The Gun made me think of was video games (y’know, Asteroids & such). And then computers in general, the way things are built up logically from elemental parts. It’s clever in the story how this finesses into a kind of enlightenment. Err… not sure I can say more than that…

  5. I hadn’t even though of it that way, I guess my brain was just conditioned along those lines. The media is the message, after all!

    That’s a perfect analogy for the story, Level 10 = Enlightenment! :)

    Thanks speedbird.
