I feel like I can relate to what you are saying But I&#039;m not sure of the context, but I feel like I know what you mean about thinking your &quot;self&quot; is separate from reality. In Jungian terms though, what you are describing is the &quot;ego&quot; and what Jung called &quot;the self&quot; is the same for everybody, its the Atman.  

But anyway this reminds me of enneagram 5 type stuff I have read. That&#039;s what my defense mechanisms are based on enneagram 5. &quot;The unenlightened Buddha&quot; 

I think its even affected my immune system. But anyway, if you are talking about enlightenment type stuff as your goal, that you think you have impure motives about, I&#039;ve recently had some insights on that.</description>
