Yeah, my digits are definitely guilty on both counts...

Right, so, more focus on taking the actual pictures, and less on the PS! Course, I usually only use PS for correcting exposure/lighting, stuff like that, cause I have a not-so-fancy digital camera and the pics don't always come out right. The data's there, just not presentable, so I have to adjust highlights/shadows... etc etc..

But I do have a tendency to get carries away, and I definitely agree with your point SB. From now on, the heavy photoshopping will be reserved for the artwork only (which I just realized I haven't done in quite some time...)

What I mean is, a good picture doesn't need photoshopping (though there's nothing wrong with PS for effect as a tool in itself).

There's a tendency with digits to acquire everything and sort it all out later (or not; there's also a tendency to keep loads of junk!). This leads to photographers chained to screens, not looking at the real world. I think the trick is really in acquiring the right stuff to start with. Framing, perspective, filtering, depth-of-field, exposure.

Well, that would make it a lot easier to get around to posting photos up here.

Perhaps I will leave off the photoshopping (except when absolutely necessary).
