- Gurdjieff on slavery -

“We are sheep kept to provide wool for our masters who feed us and keep us as slaves of illusion. But we have a chance of escape and our masters are anxious to help us, but we like being sheep. It is comfortable.”

- Gurdjieff

  1. but what would we do with all that wool, were we to keep it for ourselves?

  2. I thinking learning the keeping and use of our own wool is how we escape.

No one in their right mind wants to be a master. Especially not if they are anxious to help us be free.

  3. I think that sums it up nicely. The Gurdjieff quote as well as your recap. I also think that there is possibly an “occult war’ going on between true Aristocrats in the spiritual sense and various “evil” factions and that most conspiracy theory fails to make any distinction between various groups of elites.

But anyway, true aristocrats don’t mind other people developing self mastery. But the point remains that some people are way higher functioning than the rest of us and deserve to be in positions of authority.

  4. Hey man, I don’t know about no occult war, I just want to be free, you know? ;)
