Once, in the Lotris province of ancient Japan, there lived a fisherman who was known throughout the province as being the bravest fisherman to ever have lived. He would go out in the wildest of storms, when the waves were high and the winds strong, and would always bring home the largest catch. He made so much money fishing that he was able to buy a house on the beach and was often found sitting on his porch, laughing at the smaller catches of the other fishermen. Anytime people would say he was lucky, he would laugh and say that luck was nothing next to his skill. Anytime time people said he was blessed, he would laugh and say that he had needed the help of no god to achieve his success. And thus things went on, day in and day out... |
