Once, in the Lotris province of ancient Japan, there lived two brothers. They were both sumo wrestlers of the highest renown and always beat any who challenged them. All the people of the province loved them for their skills, but where always begging for the two of them to fight each other, to see which was truly the greatest. The brothers loved each other, and each saw the other as his equal. If they fought, one would have to beat the other, and their bond of brotherhood would never be the same.

And so they refused to fight one another. They grew angrier and angrier at each request, and eventually the brothers were forced to quite wrestling, having lost any joy they had once found in it. However, since they had been sumo wrestlers all their lives, they had no other way to support themselves.
